Last year, we lost a teammate to a rare disease but her memory lives on. Holly barely weighed 35 pounds. She was the smallest Alaska Husky I had ever see when she came from above the Arctic Circle to join our kennel. I doubted that Holly would be able to keep up with the larger dogs but Holly taught me that being a good sled dog does not depend on size - it is all about heart and the will to succeed. Holly was a little dog with a huge heart and an iron will. She loved to pull and would scream for her harness when we started getting the sled ready to go. Holly was just 5 years old when she left us but her spirit is a constant reminder that we should set our course and reach for the stars.
