Djoele(on the right) is a young, very high-energy male from a breeding between lead dogs in Dean Osmar's and Jerry Riley's kennels. An extremely hard worker, he can run in any position including lead but he is more of a trail leader than a command leader at this time. His biggest challenge is learning to pace himself-he never wants to rest even when we stop the team and that puts him at a disadvantage when the trail conditions get rough such as breaking trail when there is lots of soft snow.
